Last.fm – music stats and free personal radio

You can use this site to listen to free streaming music based on what YOU like. It keeps statistics on the songs you listen to and if you download their mac program, you can have it keep track of what you listen to in iTunes and even songs that you listen to on your iPod.

Ummm…. then we mentioned grooveshark again. Check the post below!

Then we went over the fact that Mike has a Halloween party this Friday. Superhero themed.

Play windows media files (such as .wma/.wmv) on your mac:

One way is to download and run it in VLC player. The method we discussed was getting Flip4Mac.

Click “DOWNLOAD NOW” for intel on this page.

Personally, we use VLC for watching videos all the time! Check out their home page and download that for free if you like. It’s very versatile and should play almost any weird file you have.

Hey guys, thanks for the mentions! We’re insanely grateful for your niceness.

Anyway, let me know if there’s ever anything I can do to help out! http://twitter.com/grooveshark .

This looks like an alternate option to Pandora. ..kindof trying to figure out how/if the groveshark thing fits into this….umm, then doing the same with Flip4Mac, which I already have (as does 20 million others)…..anyway, this all looks very promising for discovering new tunes, artists and moods. Thanks for posting the info…now I’ll check it all out.

Antonio,
I think the main difference is that with Grooveshark you can play a specific song, and even set up your own queues of songs. I haven’t used Pandora in a long time, but I think it gives you similar songs/artists from a starting point. Grooveshark is totally custom.
